Music Weekly: Hot Chip and Micachu

This week's pod sees the return of two of our favoruite musicians. First up, its electro-geek wizards Hot Chip, who graced our studio back in 2007. This time around, Felix and Joe talk to Alex Needham about why they're donning their Simon Cowell hats (or should that be trousers?) to find the next big thing, and what to expect from album number four. For those craving further Chip chat, hook up with Music Weekly Extra for the full interview.

Singles Club welcomes back the lovely Rebecca Nicholson, who comes armed with the Jordin Sparks single Battlefield, her tip to be "the Umbrella" of summer 2009. There's also new music from Wave Machines and their boppy single I Go I Go I Go, plus newish music in the form of a cover of Roxy Music's Lover by our favourite lo-fi LA-based musician Nite Jewel. We're keen as always to hear your thoughts, listeners, so get commenting below!

The second returning podders are Micachu and the Shapes, who met up with Paul MacInnes prior to their homecoming gig at London's ICA earlier this month to talk influences, European tours and rising fame.

And finally, the Feature With No Name sees chart-topper Daniel Merriweather talk about his passion for Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.

A packed pod we think you'll agree – and if you don't we're sure you'll let us know below. Enjoy!
