Music Weekly: Futureheads and Estelle

A tale of two artists that have moved on from their original recording contracts this week...

The Futureheads were dropped after a less than successful second album and so taking matters into their own hands, they put together their own label which will soon be releasing their next record. As well as the band playing a live track for us, Dave and Barry Hyde talk to Rosie about the new album, how it was put together and how the public know nothing about the music industry.

Estelle's new album Shine is out at the end of the month - and despite the knockbacks of leaving her original label, she's taken it all in her stride. It's resulted in her working with Kanye West and John Legend - even being signed to the latter's label. Rosie asks how she's managed to make such a positive sounding album despite a tumultuous time.

The Guardian's Film and Music editor Michael Hann joins Paul and Rosie to review new singles out this week from - Be Your Own Pet, MGMT and Hercules and Love Affair.

Tell us what you think of all of this on the blog as well as posting your review of the singles.

Next week the nicest man in pop - Elbow's Guy Garvey talks to Paul.
