Music Weekly - featuring Nas and the best of Latitude

Nas talks controversy, Barack Obama and Bill O'Reilly on Guardian Music Weekly

Welcome back one and all, not least of which our very own Paul MacInnes: the holiday is over, so let the podcasting begin.

This week's instalment is a bit special. First up, Rosie Swash talks to rap legend Nas, who discusses the controversy surrounding his latest album, namely its name, and airs his views on everyone from Barack Obama to Bill O'Reilly.

Second up, Observer Music Monthly's Jaimie Hodgson gallantly endured three days of Latitude festival to bring you interviews from Metronomy, the Cock n Bull Kid, Fields and Jeremy Warmsley, who coincidentally ...

... appears in Singles Club this week with his new track Lose My Cool, as do retro rappers Cool Kids with 88. Making up the trio of tracks are Castle Donington's finest Late of the Pier with their synth-tastic Heartbeat. And we have the as-ever-inimitable Michael Hann on loan from Guardian's Film and Music to give them a listen. Let us know what you think of everything in today's show on the blog below.

Listen to Guardian Music Weekly.
