Music Weekly: Brit awards special

Music Weekly arrives a little earlier than usual because Alexis Petridis, Rosie Swash and Observer chief pop critic Kitty Empire all convened for the annual Brits postmortem. On the agenda: Kasabian's win and bizarre omelette analogy, how the Americans stole the show, whether Peter Kay was funny or not and what should have won best album of the last 30 years instead of Oasis' What's the Story (Morning Glory).

Singles Club looks at Rihanna's Rude Boy, Matthew Dear's remix of the xx's VCR, and a reissue of the Big Pink's Velvet.

And finally, our newish feature, Your Label's Showing, hears from Big Dada founder Will Ashon, who is as vociferous about the artists he loves as he is diplomatic about the Speech Debelle incident.

Let us know your thoughts on this week's show and your take on the Brits. Plus, you can friend us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (search MusicWeeklyPod). Service resumes as normal next week. Enjoy.
