Music video filmed in Manchester delivers message 'black men are beautiful' and 'men can wear dresses'

A sassy new music video was shot in Manchester to deliver three key points.

Reality TV star and singer Jsky filmed the video for his single Easy in his home city to show that 'men can wear dresses, skinny can be sexy and black men are beautiful.'

"It was important for me to shoot this video in the heart of Manchester. I am a proud Mancunian and I want to do my city proud." Jsky told us.

Models Deji Adebayo and Tom Eckersall strutted against the city's backdrop as Naked Beach star Jsky shimmied and gyrated in sequins and patent leather thigh boots.

The catchy ditty, out now from his EP À La Mode, delivers the message that a relationship can be easy, if you act right.

The video was filmed on a rooftop at Editorial Studios on Knowsley Street, Cheetham Hill which overlooks the city centre skyline.

And it features a sign for Manchester Clothing Co, which was the perfect fit for the Manchester fashionista.

Singer, songwriter and Gaydio presenter Jsky, an LGBTQ+ Pioneer of Colour for the the LGBT Foundation, performed at this year's Manchester Pride.

On Channel Four's Naked Beach, dubbed the 'antidote' to Love Island, he was one of the eight body confident hosts in the buff helping willing participants to gain the confidence to strip naked in a stunning Greek retreat.

It was watched by 1.6million viewers when it was screened in 2019 and it was screened in secondary schools to help promote body positivity and improve mental health in teens.

Jsky, real name Jason Warner, who also starred in the hit show First Dates in 2015, is known on the Manchester social scene for his outlandish and eye-catching array of outfits.

Jsky, from Bury, previously told how his experience on the Channel Four dating show helped to change his life for the better after he was at a low ebb.

At the time he was feeling self-conscious and shaken after suffering a cut to his head, having had his drink spiked, and was resigned to the idea that he would never find love.

In his application for the Channel Four programme, which has since moved from London to Manchester, he stated that he was gay but was open to falling in love with anyone.

He was matched with Alex Collins, a transgender woman from Essex.

Jsky and Alex got along so well, for years after the show was screened Jsky was asked by viewers if they were still dating, but there was no romantic connection for the pair.

He said previously: "The show genuinely does want to see people find love.

"Before First Dates there was a time I didn't feel I was ever going to find someone. I'd been through a horrible experience and I felt vulnerable.

"Appearing on First Dates really helped me to start to truly love myself."
