Described as soul music’s prodigal son, French singer-songwriter Alexis Evans has built a name for himself on the French music scene. After his first album “Girl Bait” in 2016, and the highly acclaimed “I’ve Come a Long Way” in 2019, he has now released his third album, “Yours Truly”. It features 12 catchy tracks that draw inspiration from ’60s and ’70s classic soul mixed with more contemporary sounds.
Evans tells FRANCE 24’s Florence Villeminot how he matured a lot with this album that he wrote during France’s 2020 lockdown and how he, as a hopeless romantic, tackles all aspects of love - good and bad. We also taka look at releases from French pop singer songwriter Flavien Berger and American alternative rock legends The Smashing Pumpkins.
