Music loving teen injured in Manchester Arena terror attack meets idols Little Mix

A music lover who survived the Manchester Arena terror attack has had her dream of meeting Little Mix come true.

Millie Robson, of Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, won VIP tickets for the Ariana Grande concert in May 2017 and met the singer before the show.

But just hours later, Millie, who was 15 years old at the time, was injured when a suicide bomber detonated a device in the foyer of the arena and underwent two operations to remove nuts and bolts from her legs and Tinnitus as a result of a perforated ear drum.

Despite everything she has been through, the 16-year-old still loves music and her first concert after the attack was to see Little Mix in Newcastle.

Now, her wish to met the band - made up of Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, both of South Shields, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson - has come true thanks to Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity.

Millie's mum Marie said: "Spending time with Little Mix was very special. Millie's first concert after Manchester was to see Little Mix in Newcastle, to be able to tell the girls that in person was very special.

"Thank you to all involved in making Millie's wish happen. It was a lovely experience for all of us."

At the private event, the band met 12 children with life-limiting conditions who asked the group who they would like to collaborate with and if they could 'floss'.

After the meeting, Little Mix tweeted: “We LOVED meeting these brave and inspiring children at our Rays of Sunshine wish day! We’re honoured to be ambassadors for this amazing charity, thanks for having us the girls x.”

Last summer, Ariana Grande told British Vogue she was still speaking to Millie through Twitter but said "almost every word brings fresh tears".

The No Tears Left To Cry singer said she was still struggling with post traumatic stress disorder after the bombing and had tattoo tribute to the victims of the bombing.
