Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited has snapped up the catalogue of the songwriter behind a string of recent top 10 hits.
Jamie Scott has co-written songs with One Direction, Rag'n'Bone Man, Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynne and the Vamps, including 84 No1, 188 top 5 and 247 top 10 chart positions around the world.
Hipgnosis, a Guernsey registered investment company which buys musical intellectual property rights, now owns 100% of Scott's catalogue of 144 songs. Last week, the company announced it had acquired the back catalogue of former Eurythmics member Dave Stewart .
When Hignosis floated on the London Stock Exchange's main market last July, it raised around £200 million. It counts disco legend Nile Rodgers as a member of its advisory board.
