A growing Glasgow music collective is to stage a city-wide run of parties and events across multi-venues this coming October.
Electronic Glasgow, which was formed to promote and celebrate the city's electronic music culture, has just announced what's in store for its first of its two weekends of activity.
On October 11, heavyweights SLAM will play a five-hour long set at Sub Club to celebrate Return To Mono's 15th birthday.
While the following afternoon and evening (October 12). there will be a (free) pre-club showcase by Jean-Dungeon Acid aka Swedish musician, drummer and producer Louis Patrik Huhta, as well as a (free) DJ set by Marc STS Donaghy at Chinaski's under the 'Music's Not For Everyone' banner.
Following that, cult DJ and producer Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston land at Berkeley Suite on Charing Cross for their 'A Love From Outer Space' party, before Dungeon Acid will team up with Bosco and Nial Moody for 'Let's Go Back to Acid' at new kid on the bloc Rost in Merchant City.
While the organisers promise that there's more in the pipeline soon.
It won't be the first time Electronic Glasgow will host an event in the city, with June last year seeing them put on a street party in the Merchant City (featuring DJ sets by the likes of Harri and Ribeka) to coincide with Festival 2018 (aka the European Championships) and the Merchant City festival.
