Music brings people together, says Harry Styles after ‘unforgettable’ Meltdown

Harry Styles will soon play 12 nights at Wembley Stadium (Laura Coulson/Southbank Centre/PA) -

Harry Styles said “music brings people together” as he reflected on his “unforgettable” festival at London’s Southbank Centre.

The singer, 32, curated the 2026 Meltdown festival at the venue, where he performed an intimate orchestral show.

He was joined by the Jules Buckley Orchestra for the fundraising event, in the middle of his record-breaking residency at London’s Wembley Stadium where he is set to play 12 nights.

He said: “This year’s Meltdown festival has been an incredibly special experience I’ll never forget.

“I’m so grateful to every artist who was part of the line-up for sharing their talent, generosity and creativity, and I’m incredibly thankful to the Southbank Centre for welcoming me into a space that has long been a home to unforgettable cultural experiences.

“Music brings people together and that has been at the heart of these past 11 days.

“Thank you to everyone who performed, everyone behind the scenes, and everyone who came along and made it truly unforgettable.”

The line-up of the festival was curated by Styles and included performances from indie band Warpaint, Belgian electroclash band Soulwax and British singer-songwriter Nilufer Yanya.

Styles followed artists including Little Simz, David Bowie and Patti Smith in curating the festival.

Styles will play 12 nights at Wembley Stadium in a bid to beat Coldplay’s record of 10 performances there last year.

The string of shows is poised to smash the record for the most performances by any artist in a single year at the national stadium.

Styles will also beat pop superstar Taylor Swift’s record for the most concerts performed at Wembley by a solo artist during a single concert run.

She performed eight shows at the venue as part of the Eras Tour in 2024.

Styles will perform his final show at Wembley on July 4.
