Musheer Khan’s all-round show shapes India’s U-19 'A' win in quadrangular one-day series

AHMEDABAD: A fine all-round performance by Musheer Khan (70 off 53 balls & 4-31) helped India Under-19 ‘A’ beat Bangladesh Under-19 by 92 runs in a 2023 Quadrangular Men’s Under-19 One-Day Series match in Mulapadu, Vijayawada on Monday.

Electing to bat first, India ‘A’ U-19 made 317 for five in 50 overs, before bowling out Bangladesh U-19 for 225 in 47.2 overs, with Musheer starring with both bat and the ball.

Meanwhile, on the same day, India ‘B’ Under-19 lost by three wickets to England Under-19. Rising on a century by Sachin Dhas (107 not out) India ‘B’ scored 319 for four in 50 overs, but England U-19 overcame the target in the final over, with Theo Wylie (118) scoring a hundred.

India U-19 ‘B’ 319-4 in 50 overs (Sachin Dhas 107 not out, Rudra Patel 82, Vaibhav Suryavanshi 41, Ansh Gosai 31) lost to England U-19 320-7 in 49.2 overs (Theo Wylie 118, Hamza Shaikh 64, Noah Thain 51; Karthik Manikandan 3-54) by three wickets.
