Muse have announced they’re to play a one-off, intimate charity show in Shepherd’s Bush this August, where the fans will be in charge of what’s played.

Ahead of their headline sets at Reading and Leeds, the Knights of Cydonia rockers will perform at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on August 19, with tickets on sale this Friday July 7 at 9am. Tickets can be bought here.

It will be a rare chance for fans to see Muse, famous for their bombastic stadium shows, perform in a smaller venue. Billed as a ‘by request’ show, the band will be taking suggestions from concert-goers for what to play. Ticket holders will be able to choose up to 10 of their favourite Muse tracks to suggest for the set list, and the band will decide from there.

The surprise gig is in aid of homeless charity The Passage, who will receive all of the show’s profits. Muse singer and guitarist Matt Bellamy said: "We have admired The Passage’s work for a while now. Their work is vital to the community in London.

"We are looking forward to doing our bit to help the amazing staff and volunteers and the homeless people who benefit from their tireless hard work."

Bellamy, writing on Twitter, earlier in the year teased that the Reading and Leeds headline set may also be picked by fans, writing “Was wondering if we should do it by request?”
