Musclebound serial abuser's reign of terror made terrified victims' lives 'hell for eight years'

Four victims of one of Scotland’s most violent domestic abusers have warned the musclebound brute could one day kill someone.

The brave young women told of the horrific abuse they suffered at the hands of personal trainer Mikie McCash. The 28-year-old, from Dundee , last week admitted 13 charges against them after a plea deal with prosecutors.

The tattooed bully originally faced 26 charges of violence and traumatic intimidation over an eight-year period.

Some of the victims had knives held to their throats and socks stuffed into their mouths to keep them quiet during attacks, while others were headbutted, punched and spat on.

McCash threw a phone so hard at one during a prolonged assault that it left an imprint on her face for days.

The women insist they know of more victims across Tayside and they urged anyone who had been abused by McCash to speak to the police .

They also claim McCash’s work with support group Let’s Talk Recovery Dundee is a smokescreen to get a softer sentence when he appears at Dundee Sheriff Court today.

Last night, the victims bravely recounted their horror stories and warned it’s “only a matter of time” before McCash kills a woman.

Since their allegations first surfaced, they have been accused of lying and have suffered online abuse.

They also said evil McCash – who charmed them into relationships – has never once shown any remorse
for his crimes or apologised to them.

One said: “It’s luck that he didn’t kill one of us and it’s only a matter of time before it happens to someone if he’s not monitored.

“We know of more women out there who have been abused by this man who are too scared to come forward.”

Another added: “He should not be allowed anywhere near vulnerable people, especially women.

“He made our lives hell for eight years – serial domestic abusers like him never change. We hope that the guilty verdict will help us get on with our lives and finally convince people we were telling the truth all along.”

McCash, who runs DBA Fitness, pleaded guilty to the crimes that were committed between 2008 and 2016.

Let’s Talk Recovery Dundee was founded by Ashley Bonini to give those dealing with addiction help. She brought McCash on board to provide free fitness sessions for clients.

Last night, a spokeswoman for the charity confirmed he is still involved with them but she declined to comment on the court case.

McCash is due to appear before Sheriff Tom Hughes for sentencing today.
