Murrayburn Road was closed off by police as investigations into fatal accident continue

Murrayburn Road was closed off for much of Thursday to allow police to carry out further enquiries into a fatal accident which happened there last month.

The Wester Hailes route was off limits from around 10am this morning to shortly after 3.30pm.

Officers confirmed that they were at the scene continuing additional investigations into a fatal accident which resulted in 42-year-old Edinburgh man Paul Forsyth losing his life.

He was struck by black Ford Focus near the junction with Hailesland Road  at around 3.50pm on 20 February, and sadly died at the scene.

Police say that enquiries are still ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the Road Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident number 2376 of 20 February.
