Murray Johnson set for Wolves transfer as Hibs ready to rubber stamp £250k deal for promising goalkeeper

Wolves are set to complete a move for Hibs youngster Murray Johnson in what could be a £250,000 swoop.

The promising keeper is on the verge of a move to the English Premier League outfit.

A deal is close to being struck that will see the teenager move to the Midlands club in the summer.

Johnson, who has been training with Jack Ross’ first team, recently signed a new deal at Easter Road and there will also be further incentives and add-ons built into the Wolves move.

The academy graduate was called up to the Scotland Under-17 team in 2020, having earned three caps for the U16s.

The 16-year-old has attracted interest from a string of top English clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Hibs striker Ethan Laidlaw is also attracting interest from England’s top flight and spent last week on trial at Leeds United.

Laidlaw, a former Hibs ball boy, recently signed his first professional contract.
