Murphy's Pakora Bar Glasgow set to return as Finnieston prepares for new opening

Glaswegians are licking their lips at the prospect of a late night pakora bar opening up in Finnieston.

Work is underway at the new food spot which will serve a 'wide range' of pakora alongside small plates dishes and drinks.

Named 'Murphy's Pakora Bar', the venue will serve as a nod to an iconic dining spot of the same name which was a firm Finnieston favourite in the 90's on Argyle Street.

Teasing what people can expect on social media, Murphy's say they are a "late night pakora bar coming soon to Finnieston.

"Expect a wide range of pakoras and stunning small plates paired with a carefully selected drinks menu."

Pictures shared on Instagram show what Glaswegians can look forward to, including the likes of samosa chaat and a beautifully presented Old Fashioned cocktail, with the team saying they are 'close to opening their doors'.

Murphy's Pakora Bar used to occupy 1287 Argyle Street in Finnieston, which has also been home to the likes of Chequers, The Patter Merchants and Moloco. The new venue will be just down the street, at number 1293.

Glasgow Live will have more to bring you on the story of Murphy's returning in the coming days.
