Murdered Alesha McPhail's mum brands teen killer's appeal bid 'laughable'

The mum of murdered schoolgirl Alesha McPhail has branded her killer's appeal bid "laughable".

Monster Aaron Campbell, now 17, was 16-years-old when he was sentenced to 27 years for brutally killing and raping the six-year-old earlier this year.

Brute Campbell is now claiming he is too young to be sentenced to such a lengthy term behind bars and will take his sentence appeal to the High Court in Edinburgh today.

Alesha's heartbroken mum Georgina Lochrane has blasted her daughter's killer's appeal, saying he is 'chancing his luck'.

The 24-year-old said: "We do not have any insight as to what the outcome will be and what will take place, other than our prayers and hopes that our justice system does not fail Alesha or listen to his bullsh**.

"Claiming he's too young for this sentence it's an actual laughable argument, chancing his luck with everyone now and the system now has a chance to make an example of him and they better grasp it with both hands."

Posting on a Facebook page set up in memory of her daughter, Georgina, from Airdrie , asked supporters to stop giving evil Campbell the attention he craves and asked that nobody shares his picture after today's appeal.

She added: "On Wednesday all I ask is that no one shares his face only Alesha's.

"Do not give him anymore of the attention he craves because that is just what all this is about, attention.

"We stop giving him attention he will eventually just wither away to nothing or someone finally gets a hold of him and does us all a favour.''

The twisted killer continued to deny the horrific abduction and killing of the youngster throughout the harrowing trial.

However, he went on to admit that he was responsible to a court psychologist after being unanimously found guilty by a jury.
