'Murderball!' - Leeds United fans thrilled as club shares footage of Marcelo Bielsa's infamous training drill

Leeds United's Championship promotion tilt is due to get back underway next weekend and it looks like Marcelo Bielsa's squad are more than ready for the return.

The team have been working their way back to full fitness since they returned to Thorp Arch last month and in the latest training ground video shared by the club, they appear to be operating at full speed.

Leeds shared a two-and-a-half minute clip on their social media channels on Friday afternoon which showed the squad being put through a number of drills, including what looks to be Bielsa's infamous 'Murderball' drill - an intense practice match that is played a full pace, with no referee and sees coaches continually throwing balls back in play to give players no respite.

The clip shows what looks to be Bielsa's first-choice XI wearing red bibs and going up against a blue-bibbed side of back-ups with the game being played at astonishing speed and with some huge tackles going in.

Ben White is shown going on a trademark run forward, while Pablo Hernandez also features, playing in some trademark through balls. Jean-Kevin Augustin, who has suffered a setback in his return from a hamstring injury is the notable absentee from the video.

Other drills appear to show set-piece routines being worked on, with Kalvin Phillips and Barry Douglas both on dead ball duties.

The footage is soundtracked by pulsating music and it's certainly got Leeds fans geared up ahead of the restart. Here's a look at how they reacted:

Leeds currently sit at the top of the Championship table, a point ahead of West Bromwich Albion in second and seven clear of third-placed Fulham.
