The Miguel Reynolds murder trial was shown CCTV footage of the young man's last moment's before he was shot dead.
Mr Reynolds was shot in the neck in Netherton on June 7, 2018 in what witnesses have described as a "merciless execution".
The prosecution alleges that Mr Reynolds and a friend were robbed, that Mr Reynolds pursued the thieves, and was shot during the ensuing chase.
Seven men have gone on trial at Liverpool Crown Court accused of murder the 21-year-old; conspiracy to rob; conspiracy to possess firearms; and conspiracy to possess ammunition.
Liam Watson, 32, of Litherland Park, Litherland; Kyle Sanders, 22, of Charles Best Green, Netherton; Joseph McKeever, 29, of Howard Florey Avenue, Litherland; Paul Blackhurst, 27, of Cumpsty Road, Litherland; James Harrison, 23, of Kirkstone Road North, Litherland; Jake Mawhinney 21, of Royton Road, Waterloo; and Dale Avery, 26, of Marie Curie Avenue, Netherton, all deny the charges.
They are joined in court by Mr Avery's then girlfriend, Emma Kirby, 23, of Marie Curie Avenue, who denies assisting an offender.
According to Manchester Evening News, on Monday, when the trial came back into court, jurors were shown footage that captured the final minutes of Miguel's life.
Detective Sergeant John Mullen, for the Major Crime Unit at Merseyside Police, gave evidence throughout the day.
He explained what the court would see in the CCTV.
DS Mullen said: "At 19.57, CCTV outside Netherton Children’s Centre shows Paul Blackhurt followed by James Harrison, then three seconds later Joseph McKeever on foot, then Liam Watson then Jake Mawhinny. They are followed on foot by Miguel Reynold."
The jury were then shown CCTV footage of the movements of the men.
They are shown to travel towards Assissian Crescent, then towards Sherborne Avenue, the jury are told. Mr Reynolds continues to run along Peterborough Drive towards Assissian Crescent.
Prosecutor Ian Unsworth QC clarified to the jury: “At 19.57, Miguel Reynolds was captured [by CCTV] outside Netherton Children’s Centre seven seconds after Mr Mawhinny and Mr Watson have run past that same spot. He is essentially sprinting behind that group going in the same direction.”
The jurors were told that Liam Watson was said to be ahead of Mr Mawhinny.
Footage then showed Mr Watson appearing to look over his left shoulder behind him, and Mr Mawhinny looks over his right shoulder.
CCTV footage captures Mr Sanders and Mr McKeever jump into a front garden on Sherborne Avenue.
DS Mullen then said: "“The other group have carried onto Assissian Crescent."
The court was then told that Mr Watson did not accept that version of events.
Showing an aerial image to the jury, DS Mullen said there is a pathway leading right to Finlay Court, namely the address of witness Mrs Lennon.
He said: "Mr Watson allegedly jumped over the wooden fences into Finlay Court, when Mr Reynolds comes into Assissian Crescent he runs around as he doesn’t get over the fence, he then goes into the next inlet for parked cars and climbs over that fence."

The jury were then shown images of the car park in Finlay Court indicating the area where its said Mr Watson jumped over.
Images were then shown of a footwear mark on the bonnet of a Mercedes parked near the fence within Assissian Crescent, which is said to be that of Mr Reynolds.
An image of the wooded fence where Mr Reynolds jumped over is now being shown, where the Mercedes was said to be directly behind.
DS Mullen then said: "At 19.57.58 on Assissian Crescent is the first sighting we have of anyone, namely Mr Harrison, cycling north on Peterborough Drive.
“Three remained on bikes, namely Mr Harrison, Mr Blackhurst and Mr Mawhinny who continued north.
“Four seconds later the camera captures Mr Blackhurst following Mr Harrison, a second later, Mr Mawhinny.”
Looking at more CCTV footage, DS Mullen went on: “This figure is Mr Watson, this is in dispute.
"He is shown running into Assissian Crescent from Peterborough Drive, then at 19.57.52 climbing over the wooden fence.
"Five seconds later, Mr Reynolds runs into Assissian Crescent.
“Mr Reynolds’ friend appears to call another friend at this stage.
"At 19.58.11 the footage shows Mr Reynolds running along the wooden fence of Assissian Crescent and Finlay Court.”
Footage was then shown to the jury that was said to be the last image of Mr Reynolds alive.
