Murder probe after man dies following horror stabbing in Camden

Police have launched a murder probe after a man died following a fatal stabbing in Camden.

Officers rushed to the scene at 7.43pm on Friday following reports of an attack near Gaymead in Abbey Road.

A 29-year-old man was found injured at the scene. Officers performed first aid before taking him to a west London hospital.

Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead at 9.55pm.

His next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

A crime scene is in place and officers are working to establish what happened.

No arrests have been made.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson, who is leading the investigation, said: "We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Abbey estate on Friday night between 7 and 8pm, who may have saw or heard something they believe could be connected to this fatal stabbing.

"Another family have been left grieving the loss of a loved one due to knife crime. My team of detectives are working around the clock to identify and arrest the person responsible."
