Police in Swansea have launched a murder investigation after the death of a 22-year-old woman in Mount Pleasant, Swansea.
The victim has been named locally as Sammy Lee Lodwig, and tributes have been paid describing her as a 'beautiful soul'.
Significant police enquiries have been going in the area since 3.10am this morning, after officers responded to reports of the incident at Carlton Terrace, which police described as a serious assault.
Armed officers have been deployed alongside divisional units and the police helicopter.
The deceased woman has not yet been officially identified.
