A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death in Bolton last night.
Police were called to Battenberg Road shortly before 6.40pm on Saturday night after reports of a stabbing.
A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital but died.
GMP say they were called to a second stabbing just two hours later, at around 8.40pm, just over half a mile away on Lincoln Road.

"There is believed to be no wider risk to the public," they added.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Clegg, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “This was a tragic incident where a young man has sadly lost his life. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“Officers remain at both scenes and cordons are in place while we continue to investigate and piece together what happened yesterday.
