A man and a woman have been arrested after a man died at a house in Flintshire. Police arrived at a property in Precinct Way in Buckley at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, October 4, and found a man there in a critical condition. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, including paramedics, the man was later pronounced dead in hospital.
North Wales Police said the man had been arrested on suspicion of murder while the woman had been arrested for allegedly assisting an offender, in connection with the death. You can get more local news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
Both of those arrested are from Buckley and are currently being held in police custody. Detective Superintendent Mark Pierce said: "I would like to reassure the public that we believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no cause for concern for the wider community.
"However, an increased police presence will be seen in the area today whilst we conduct further investigations. Anyone with any information that can help us should contact us via our online webchat facility or on 101, quoting reference B151202."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 10.10pm last night (Tuesday) to an incident on Precinct Way, Buckley. We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and two emergency ambulances to the scene, and one person was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
