Murder hunt launched after man stabbed to death in London park

A 29-year-old man has died after being stabbed in a south London park last night.

Emergency services were called to Peckham Rye Park at 8.34pm yesterday (December 30).

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene shortly after 9pm.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, MyLondon reports.

No one has been arrested for the stabbing yet. The Met Police have set up a crime scene in the park.

Any who witnessed the incident, or who has information about what happened, is asked to call police on 101 with the reference 6165/30DEC. Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
