Murder cops make arrest after disabled man found dead in Glasgow flat

Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of a disabled man in a Glasgow block of flats.

Cops launched a murder probe after Tomasz Lipiec, 33, was discovered in the property in Dobbies Loan Place at around 6.45pm on Monday.

Now police say they have made an arrest in connection with the Townhead incident.

A statement issued by the force tonight said enquiries would be continuing.

It read: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a murder in Townhead, Glasgow.

"The body of Tomasz Lipiec, 33, was found in a property in Dobbies Loan Place, around 6.45 pm on Monday, 7 September, 2020.

"Enquiries are continuing."

Tomasz was well known in the area.

The wheelchair user – who only had one leg – was known to make trips from his home in the Townhead area of the city into the city centre.
