Murder charge over Vic man's disappearance

More than two years after a Victorian man went missing, someone has faced court charged with his murder.

Sam Blake, 33, on Wednesday faced Bairnsdale Magistrates Court charged with the murder of Lakes Entrance man Dalibor (Dale) Pantic at Perry Bridge in April 2019.

Mr Pantic was last seen leaving a friend's farm in April 2019, at Perry Bridge and had not been in contact with his family since.

Despite numerous extensive searches by police, Mr Pantic's location is still unknown.

In May 2020, a car believed to belong to the drug dealer was found in Bunyip State Forest following a tip-off from the public.

Blake is expected to face a committal mention at Sale Magistrates Court on March 8.
