Murder charge after man stabbed to death at party in Hounslow

A suspect has been charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death at a party in west London.

Khalid Abdi, 25, of Maitland Close, Hounslow, was charged on Thursday and will appear before Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday

He is charged with the murder of Nathan Mitra, 32, who was found with stab wounds outside a party in Clements Court, Green Lane in Hounslow in the early hours of July 30.

Police and ambulance workers rushed to the scene, but could not save Mr Mitra, who was pronounced dead just after 3.30am

Following weeks of investigation, Abdi was arrested at Heathrow on Wednesday after flying in from Norway.

Chief Superintendent Peter Gardner said at the start of the investigation: “This is a senseless act of violence and we have needlessly lost another life at the point of a blade.

“My thoughts and condolences are with the victim’s family at this desperately sad time.

“I’d like to thank the officers and members of the London Ambulance Service that were first on the scene and worked tirelessly to try and save the life of the victim.”
