Murder charge after Alice Springs death

A man who allegedly drove at a woman outside Alice Springs Hospital has been charged with murder. (AAP)

A man has been charged with murder in the Northern Territory after allegedly driving a car at a woman.

The 49-year-old is alleged to have driven a green Ford Falcon at a 46-year-old woman, who was known to him.

The death occurred outside the Alice Springs Hospital on Thursday night.

NT police said the man was arrested nearby soon after the incident.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court on January 11.
