Good afternoon, these are the latest lunchtime ECHO headlines.

Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man found stabbed in street

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Old Swan.

The man was found with multiple stab wounds on Rock Grove on Monday, March 14. Police gave the victim CPR but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman with stab wounds was found at a property close to where the man was found. She was taken to hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

Police have since confirmed the woman has now been held in police custody after being discharged. She has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Live updates as 'serious' crash closes Formby Bypass in both directions

Formby bypass is closed in both directions following a 'serious crash.'

The crash happened at around 11:05am on Tuesday, March 15 near the junction of North End Lane in Formby. The crash involved a cyclist and a BMW car and it is not yet known the condition of those involved.

A spokesperson for Sefton police said: "Officers are implementing road closures on the Formby Bypass between Altcar Road Junction (Tesco) and the traffic lights at The Squirrel Public House. This is due to a serious road traffic collision.

"Further updates to follow, but please avoid the Formby bypass for the foreseeable hours."

'Unique' Liverpool pub The Bridewell named CAMRA Pub of the Year 2022

The winner of Liverpool Pub of the Year has been announced.

The Bridewell, in Campbell Square, has won the accolade by Liverpool and District CAMRA. The winner was announced on March 13 after months of deliberation by judges.

The pub is a Grade ll listed Police 'bridewell' that dates back to the mid nineteenth century. The building has since been converted into a pub with the former cells now transformed into seating areas.
