A stunning new mural has appeared in the Merchant City to coincide with the COP26 conference.
Fearless Collective has unveiled the design which features the faces of the Indigenous community who have been a continuous and outspoken presence throughout the conference.
The artwork on Brunswick Street was born from a workshop in collaboration with Brazil’s Indigenous People Articulation (APIB) and other Indigenous leaders who are at COP26 to represent their nations.
Describing the artwork, Fearless said: "The mural is an image of power and sovereignty of indigenous leaders at COP26. Leaders of nations who have historically been unrecognised in spaces like this, stand tall and strong in the mural which is an affirmation of their existence and their wisdom.

"This mural stands in solidarity with indigenous peoples around the world, their struggle, and resilience. Painting out in the streets of Glasgow, through sunshine and rain. Relying on a lot of hard work, the kindness of our incredible volunteers, and some magic."
Fearless, a South-Asia based public art organisation led by women from the Global South, will be hosting a closing ceremony and zero waste feast to celebrate the completion of the mural.
Fareshare Glasgow is donating their surplus produce for the feast which will be cooked by chef Anjili Vyas from London along with help from local volunteers.
The event will be kicking off at 3.30pm today (November 10) until 6.30pm at 74 Brunswick Street.
