Mural tribute to legendary Reds goalie appears near Anfield

A mural to legendary Reds goalkeeper Ray Clemence is the latest street art to be created near Anfield stadium.

Ray, whose portrait appears on the side of a house in Wylva Road, made 665 appearances for the club.

The mural is accompanied by a quote from Bill Shankly, which reads: "Ray had everything, he's quick, he doesn't wanna be beaten. He's just a great goalkeeper."

A string of murals have appeared at various locations around the city over the summer to celebrate Liverpool's Premier League win, including near the stadium.

But the mural dedicated to Ray Clemence is the first to pay tribute to a figure from LFC's illustrious past.
