Munster's Jean Kleyn hit with two-week ban for dangerous play against Leinster

Munster second row Jean Kleyn has been slapped with a two-week suspension for dangerous play in the 13-10 defeat to Leinster last Saturday.

The 27-year-old was cited for 'dangerous play in a ruck or maul' and making contact with an opponent above the shoulders, the penalty for which is generally a four-week ban.

The suspension was reduced to two weeks, however, with the Ireland star's clean disciplinary record and acceptance of foul play taken into account.

Kleyn will miss just one match - Saturday's game against Treviso - as the Reds look to bounce back from the narrow loss to their fierce rivals at Thomond Park.

Kleyn will be free to play from February 15 onwards and can return to the squad for the visit to Edinburgh on February 20.
