Munster players dance the morning away with choir as URC title celebrations continue

The morning after the night before and the Munster players were still celebrating their URC title triumph.

As the team prepared to fly home from Cape Town after their 19-14 victory over the Stormers in the Grand Final, they were greeted by a South African choir.

And a group of players, including captain Peter O'Mahony, flanker Gavin Coombes and scrum-half Craig Casey, danced the morning away to the music.

You wouldn't blame the team if they hadn't gone to sleep at all as they ended a 12-year-long trophy drought to win the United Rugby Championship.

After the match, they started their celebrations in the dressing room as they sang their anthem 'Stand Up and Fight' together.

And the team is sure to be greeted with a hero's welcome when they land in Shannon Airport today.

One of Munster's heroes, Tadhg Beirne said: “I’m with this club for five years now and I didn’t think it would be this difficult to get to where we are today.

"We’ve had opportunities and unfortunately we have come up short over the last few years, but to have won something with this club finally, it’s hard to put into words what it means to me. To be able to be part of that, I’m just absolutely delighted.”

“We had to come over here, it’s an incredibly tough place to come, all the way over to South Africa, but it’s just incredible craic for us as a group to come here and spend so much time together, enjoy each other’s company and we have made the most of that. It’s been unbelievable.”
