Munster announce a number of contract extensions as Joey Carbery signs on for two more years

Munster have announced six contract extensions as start fly half Joey Carbery has signed on for two more years.

Carbery is joined by Liam Coombes, Chris Farrell, Jean Kleyn, Jack O'Sullivan and Alex Kendellen in signing on.

Munster announced the news on Wednesday evening and it will see all six players remain at the province until at least June 2024.

Carbery joined the squad back in 2018 but his time at the club has been hampered by injuries and will be hoping for a brighter future in red, having only made 30 appearances in his three years.

Irish international will also extend his stay and has featured some 52 times since joining back in 2017.

Munster will be back in action on January 8 as they take on Ulster in the URC before their attention turns to the Champions Cup the following weekend when they take on Castres.
