Mums slam 'disgusting' LOL Surprise dolls for having 'detailed as f**k' penises

In the past, people have complained about dolls lacking anatomically correct male and female genitalia.

Some toy manufacturers decided to heed the complaints and make their products a little more realistic-looking.

But it seems they simply can't win, as parents are now complaining about this too.

Mums have taken particular issue with the LOL Surprise dolls that are one of the must-have items for kids this Christmas.

They've branded the male dolls "disgusting" for having what they say is "detailed as f**k" genitalia.

The company behind the dolls, MGA Entertainment, who are also known for their Bratz dolls, are said to have introduced the male versions to be more "gender inclusive".

But this has done little to appease outrage on social media.

One mum said: "Why the f*** do the male LOL Surprise dolls have male genitals!?!? And detailed AF too!?!?”"

Another wrote: "Very inappropriate for a toy that states ages 3+. We won’t be buying anything LOL again."

A third added that MGA should keep that area of the dolls "flat".

They commented: "Considering the majority of your consumers are little girls, I suggest this change IMMEDIATELY. Such a HUGE fail; please keep the genital area FLAT."

They think the genitals are too "detailed" (Facebook)

MGA Entertainment haven't been swayed by the backlash.

In a statement, CEO and Founder Isaac Larian, said: "All of our LOL Surprise boy dolls have been (and will continue to be) anatomically correct.

"We believe in the importance of clarity and authenticity with our products and our consumers, and this approach has been carried through all of our products over the past 40 years.

"In the doll category, anatomically correct dolls have been available for many years. We currently have a notification on all packaging, and even on our web copy that states the LOL Surprise! boys are anatomically correct."

Not everyone was disgusted by the dolls though.

A different person found it hilarious that the company had delivered on the brand name and given customers a "surprise".

Someone else simply couldn't believe that people were so offended by body parts, saying: "Parents are offended by body parts? There’s nothing offensive about this, teach your kids proper terms and that yes, there ARE difference."
