Facebook mums have shared their tips for cleaning make-up brushes - and you won't believe the most popular solution.
Members of the Facebook group Hinch Army Cleaning tips came to the aid of a baffled mum who couldn't get clogged make-up out of her expensive brushes.
The fed-up mum posted: "Can I ask what do people find best to clean their make up brushes with please? Need to do my blusher brush and my eyebrow one . Thanks."
The replies came in their dozens with most swearing by baby shampoo as the most effective way to clean make-up brushes.
One replied: "Warm water and baby shampoo - works a treat!"
Another said: Warm water and baby shampoo. Works wonders on keeping them soft."
Another added: "Baby shampoo with a scrub daddy do it all the time cold water."
One mum said baby shampoo was great, but she had stumbled upon an extra trick.
She said: "I usually wash with shampoo, but the other day I washed with shampoo as no more dirt was coming out dried and added conditioner to soften brushes and the amount of make-up that came out after it! Literally amazing.
"While baby shampoo was by far the most popular solution, other mums had plenty of different handy hacks."
Two users agreed charcoal soap from The Body Shop was very effective, while another claimed make-up cleanser and even washing powder did the trick.
