Mums fly to Ibiza for 12-hour holiday and get back in time for the school run

A group of friends flew to Ibiza for 12-hour holiday and returned in time for the school run. Rebecca Rattcliff, 38, decided she needed a day in the sun with her group of mum chums - Laura, Danielle, Danielle, Lauren and Fay.

Due to childcare commitments and working on Monday, the six women had just one day free together and had to fly to and from Ibiza in just 12 hours. They flew out of Manchester Airport just after 6am and returned from Ibiza airport at 11pm on the same day - making it in time for the Monday morning school run.

She posted a series of videos of her adventures on TikTok showing the group enjoying a cocktail while also walking along the beach in the sunshine. Temperatures are currently around 24C in the beautiful location and the women enjoyed a few drinks while soaking up the rays.

The travel consultant, from Manchester, said: "I have four children and between the six of us we have 15 children. We were keen to look for a good deal and everybody loves the Ibiza sunshine.

"We found Ryanair flights on Skyscanner, and we knew for everyone to be able to come it had to be that Sunday."

The group left on the Sunday and made it home in time to take their children to school the following day. The savvy mum booked her flights six weeks in advance, paying just £34 for the trip.

They started with brunch at Passion Cafe in Ibiza Town and then went to San Antonio bay. Rebecca said: "We had brunch at Passion Cafe and had an explore around the marina.

"Quite a lot of the shops were shut but it was scenic and beautiful.

"We had cocktails overlooking the marina and then the transfer picked us up and drove us to San Antonio bay. "

One followed questioned how she managed to buy such cheap flights, to which Rebecca replied: "Skyscanner, search everywhere and be open to different dates and durations."

Dozens of her followers said they wanted to try the same trip. One person wrote: "Wish I had friends and babysitters to live this life."

Another said: "I'd have ruined the whole trip with my travel/airport panic mode". A third wrote: "This is how we need to start living".
