Mums are obsessed with Aldi's £1.75 fabric conditioner but they're not using it for clothes

The Mrs Hinch effect is still sweeping the nation - and is even more popular now that we’re spending more time and home and cleaning everything in sight.

Since lockdown began there’s been a rush of cleaning tricks and hacks taking over social media, including one that people are loving.

Aldi’s Almat fabric softener has been shared dozens of times, with many mums insisting it's much more than your average laundry product.

Many are using the £1.75 item to clean more than just their clothes - such as windows, wood, radiator, and rings, reports the Mirror.

The product has been shared in groups across Facebook, with one woman revealing that mixing the fabric conditioner mixed with warm water was perfect for cleaning windows and mirrors.

She said: "A new cleaning hack for you...windows, wood and anything high gloss, cap full of fabric softener and warm water. Rub on, rub off.

"I love it. I've done my lounge windows and PVC, fireplace, snow globes, plant pots and pic frames looks and smells amazing.

"You can use on tiled or wood flooring too! The results are amazing!"

She shared that using a cap full of softener mixed with three-quarters of warm water, along with a microfiber cloth to get the perfect result.

The response has been huge, with one fan revealing she had tried it on her TV stand, while another said they’d used it on their front door and radiators.
