Mumbai: A mock drill was conducted by railway officials and police at Vasai railway station on Saturday afternoon. Commuters in the Churchgate-Virar train were asked to alight when the train reached at platform number two of Vasai railway station at 3.37pm.
However, rumors spread that the train had derailed and that Over Head Equipment (OHE) had been damaged, following which, railway police personnel and officers from technical departments started looking for 'fault'. Around 4:30pm railway officials declared it was a mock drill.
