MUMBAI: Mumbai have replaced seam bowling allrounder Shardul Thakur, who has left for Australia as he's amongst the reserves for the T20 World Cup, with allrounder Suryansh Shedge.
Meanwhile, India batsman Shreyas Iyer will join the Mumbai team in Rajkot for the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy "in the next 3-4 days, as he's got a stiff back," Mumbai chief selector Salil Ankola told TOI on Thursday.
Iyer is amongst the reserves for the T20 World Cup in Australia, but has been asked to stay back in India and play in SMAT. Placed in Elite Group A, Mumbai have won both their games so far.
