MUMBAI: Tata Power and Adani Electricity announced on Monday that they will be providing electricity connection to Ganesh pandals at residential tariff rates.
"We appeal to Ganesh pandals to get authorised power connections. In 2022, we provided connections to 180 pandals," said a Tata Power official, adding that the application for a power connection has minimum documents to be submitted to ensure that the process is expedited.
An official from Adani Electricity said : "Last year, we achieved a remarkable feat by providing uninterrupted power supply to over 900 Sarvajanik Ganesh pandals across Mumbai. We have made thorough preparations for fast release of connections and an operation squad to maintain reliability of supply. Our team is ensuring that the supply is released within 48 hours of receiving minimum two documents along with application from pandals. We are offering residential tariffs and also promoting energy efficient appliances at various Ganesh pandals."
