Mumbai: Newborn’s body found in dustbin

Mumbai

MUMBAI: The body of a newborn was found in a dustbin in Mahim on Sunday.

The girl could have been born around two days earlier, the police said, adding that they are scanning footage from CCTV cameras installed around the spot where the dead baby was found so that they could track down the parents and who had abandoned the baby.

A case has been registered at Mahim police station. The child’s body was taken to hospital.
