Mumbai: 'Mirzapur' actor Bramhaswaroop Mishra found dead at Versova home

MUMBAI: Actor Brahmaswaroop Mishra, best known for his role in the OTT show 'Mirzapur,' was found dead at his home in Versova on Thursday. Police said Mishra suffered a heart attack in the lavatory.

Mishra, 36, has appeared in Bollywood films Super 30, Kesari, Badrinath ki Dulhaniya and Dangal among others. He lived at Inlaks Nagar in Versova in a rental apartment for the past four years.

Around 12.15 pm on Thursday, Versova police was informed by residents of Inlaks Nagar about a foul odour emanating from one of the flats. A police team was sent to the flat but the door was locked from inside. A duplicate key was made and the police team, on entering the house, discovered that the foul odour was emanating from the lavatory.

Mishra was found dead inside the lavatory. Doctors later declared that he had suffered a heart attack. His body was moved to the hospital and his brother, Sandeep, who lives in Bhopal was informed by the police.

The body was found in a semi decomposed condition which suggests that it might have been a while since the actor's death, police said. The body has been sent for an autopsy.

Mishra was a native of Madhya Pradesh. He had done a two year acting course at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He has also been associated with theatre groups.
