Mumbai: Man cheats ailing friend of 60,000, held

MUMBAI: V P Road police late on Thursday arrested a 41-year-old garment dealer for allegedly cheating his bed-ridden friend and withdrawing money from his credit card. The friend's family started receiving phone calls for making credit card payments.

Police said that the wife of a 46-year-old man, dealing in garments, lodged a complaint. The amount used from the credit card was Rs 45,000 and after adding interest it became 60,000. She was unaware about a credit card in her husband's name. After she got calls, she went to the bank and then approached police," said an officer.
