MUMBAI: A first-of-its-kind electric car rally will be organised in Mumbai on Saturday. It will be flagged off by state environment minister Aaditya Thackeray and Adani Electricity director Jeet Adani from the Mahalaxmi Race Course.
The ‘Green Mumbai Drive 2021’ will see all electric car models on sale in the country at one venue. The rally, organised by Autocar India and Adani Electricity, aims to raise awareness about global warming and accelerate adoption of electric mobility. The rally will have more than 30 electric cars, driven by owners and senior executives of various car companies. It will pass through Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Aarey Colony, and along the Vikhroli mangrove forest.
