Mumbai: Four-year-old boy slapped at play area by parent of another child, FIR registered

MUMBAI: The parents of a four-year-old boy registered a complaint at the Borivali police station after the child was slapped by a man at a play area inside a shopping centre. The victim's parents are police officers.

"An FIR has been registered against the accused and he has been served a notice. The accused is the father of another child that was playing at the play area," said an officer from Borivali police station.

The incident occurred on Saturday at a play area in Moksh Plaza, Borivali West. The victim and other children were playing when a fight broke out between them. The accused noticed the fighting and slapped the victim.

The victim's parents were furious and inquired with the man why he had slapped their son. An argument broke out between the two which snowballed into fisticuffs. Later the victim's parents approached the Borivali police station. CCTV footage at the establishment confirmed that the victim had been slapped.

The victim's mother is a sub-inspector with the Special Branch of Mumbai Police while his father is an assistant police inspector.
