Mumbai: Six rescued as building collapses in Bandra

MUMBAI: At least six persons were rescued after a ground-plus-four structure collapsed on Wednesday in suburban Bandra.

The incident took place in the Behram Nagar locality of Bandra east around 4pm.

Of the six rescued, four have been rushed to VN Desai hospital and are in a stable condition. Two others were rushed to Bhabha hospital and are also stable.

The search operation for one missing person is underway.

As per preliminary information from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), five fire engines and one rescue van were rushed to the spot.

Six ambulances were also sent to the site and a rescue operation was launched to free the persons trapped under the debris.
