Mumbai: Fire breaks out at commercial cum residential building in Dadar West, no injuries reported

MUMBAI: A fire broke out in a store in Yash Plaza, a commercial cum residential building, on Dr D'Silva road in Dadar West, at around 9.28 pm on Monday.

The fire was caused due to a short circuit in a cosmetic store. Chemicals in the store and lack of ventilation resulted in the spread of fire.

The fire was confined between 1st and 3rd floor of the ground plus eight storeyed glass facade building. The top five floors are residential.

The residents were evacuated and no injuries were reported.

The fire brigade mobilised four fire engines to douse the level-1 fire. Fire officials were inspecting the premises after the fire was doused at around 11.05 pm.
