Mumbai cricket: Lalwani, Jaffer take Mumbai to 226 for 3

MUMBAI: Fine half-centuries by opener Bhupen Lalwani (88,200b,10x4,1x6) and Armaan Jaffer (76*,143b,7x4, 2x6) helped Mumbai reach 226 for three on Day One against Vidarbha in their Col CK Nayudu (for Under-25) final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

Mumbai in command

A superb century (134,168b, 18x4,1x6) by skipper Musheer Khan and a half-century by Angkrish Raghuvanshi (81, 159b,10x4, 2x6) helped Mumbai coast to 318 for four on Day One of their Cooch Behar Trophy (U-19) semis against Maharashtra in Kolkata on Sunday.

The Mumbai women's team made it to the knockouts of a BCCI tournament, when it beat Saurashtra by nine wickets in their final league match at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi on Sunday.
