Mumbai Cricket Association invites applications for academy coaches

MUMBAI: The Mumbai Cricket Association on its website on Monday invited applications for the posts of coaches for batting, fast bowling, spin bowling and fielding for the MCA's indoor academy in BKC. Criteria for Batting, Fast As per the criteria mentioned on the MCA website, the bowling and spin bowling coach: "i. Should have played 25 or more first class matches; or ii. Should be Level II or Level III NCA Certified Coach; and iii. Should have adequate experience of coaching."

As per the Criteria for fielding coach, the candidate "i. Should have played 5 or more first class matches; or ii. Should be Level II or Level III NCA Certified Coach; and iii. Should have adequate experience of coaching."

The appointments will be for a period of one year. The last date for the candidates to send their applications is November 25.

Sanmaya slams 147 in U-15 tourney

Meanwhile, Sanmaya Upadhayay has made a solid case to be picked in the Mumbai team for the BCCI's inaugural Under-16 Girls' tournament by slamming 147 runs off 143 balls, including 29 fours, in the MCA's inaugural Under-15 Girls Cricket Tournament, at the Jolly Gymkhana in Ghatkopar on Monday.

The event is a selection trial tournament for the girls. Sanmaya's knock ensured an 80-run win for Team B over team A.
